Gujarat Technological University Aeronautical Engineering Semester-I Mechanics of Solids Papers 

Gujarat Technical University follows an advance pattern of question, which has been designed to test the basic knowledge of the appearing candidates, and thus clearing their minds, to favor the future study of aeronautical engineering.  Mechanics of Solids, a basic subject for Aeronautical Engineering, has been included in the 1st Semester of this course.
Outline of the Paper
The paper of Mechanics of Solids carries no division or section; instead it carries a linear alignment of main questions.
Pattern of the paper:
There are a total of five main questions in the paper. The first question is compulsory to attempt. Remaining of the four main questions are offered in pairs, that means, for each of the question, there will be two options, and candidates have to choose any one main question and attempt it compulsory. Usually the first main question is devoid of any kind of options, and thus is strictly compulsory in nature. The main question, which appear in the paper are basically sub-questions, attached together to represent them as a single main question.
Markings in the paper
The total mark offered by the Theory part of the paper is seventy. Each of the questions carries 14 marks, and is a total of five in number.
Time allotted for examination:
The time allotted for finishing the examination is three hours.
