The Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships

Under the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Programme, the Foundation gives away loan scholarships that are interest free to students of Indian origin who have a constantly excellent academic record. The maximum amount that is granted to students is Rs.10 lakhs.
The students who are chosen for the scholarships will have the advantage of the mentoring program of the foundation. Here, the students will be advised and given guidance by mentors from academia, professionals and people from the industry.
Application Form and Documents
  • The appropriately filled in form should be accompanied by a MO or DD of Rs. 300/-. The DD should be taken in favor of the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation.
  • Attested copies of these documents should be mailed with the form:
  • All mark sheets & degree certificates
  • The score  cards of GMAT, GATE, CAT, GRE, IELTS or TOEFL
  • Details of awards or scholarships received previously.
  • The application as well as the offer letter the university has sent to the candidates.
  • First 4 pages of the candidates passport
Eligibility Criteria for scholarships
The candidates should not be more than 30 years when they apply. Students who have an admirable academic background can apply for these scholarships. In addition to this, students who are interested to pursue postgraduate studies in India or abroad can also submit an application for this scholarship.
The scholarships are for the following subjects:
  • Applied Sciences
  • Architecture
  • Business Administration
  • Engineering
  • Humanities
  • Information Technology
  • Law
  • Pure Sciences
  • Social Sciences
As to be eligible to get this scholarship, the students should have already applied to the institution of their choice. The scholarships will only be available for students who reside in India. In case of studying abroad, only those students who seek admittance during the fall semester will be considered.
Course of action for Scholarship Selection
The applications that are received will be examined and short listed. Students who are short listed will be needed to appear for an interview in Mumbai. This interview is very important and is the foundation for the final selection. Students who are selected must make sure that they submit the confirmation letter to the University or College.
Prior to the start of their course, the aspirants will be needed to be present at an Orientation Programme at Mumbai. They will then have to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the foundation and concur to its terms and conditions. Apart from this, the students must also take an insurance policy and consign it to the Foundation. The payment of the scholarship will be done in parts on the basis of the fee statement from the institution. This must be furnished by the students.
Important Dates
The deadline for downloading the scholarship application is until 2 PM, March 18.The last date for the submission of the application is the 18th of March, 2011. The applications should reach the foundation within 6 pm.
